The client came to us wanting an extension. Through our initial layout assessment, a key first step in our design process, we identified a smarter solution: a full reconfiguration of the existing ground floor, combined with a garage conversion.

No extension. Just a more intelligent use of what was already there.

The kitchen was relocated and transformed into a generous, welcoming space with a snug area, flooded with natural light through new patio doors that open directly onto the garden, a connection that simply did not exist before. The garage was converted to house a large utility room and a downstairs toilet, adding practicality and freeing up space within the main living areas.

The interior design concept follows a contemporary Japandi-influenced aesthetic, calm and considered throughout. A warm palette of natural wood, sage green and dusty blue accents, marble details, and soft neutrals runs through every room, from the open kitchen and dining area to the master bedroom, bathroom, and toilet, creating a cohesive home that feels both refined and lived-in.
